We start our visit with a walk through the old part of Bilbao where we can discover its cobbled streets, cantons, charming squares and corners, which witnessed the intensive business and port grew of the Villa.
At the old quarter we can also admire its walls, the Gothic cathedral of Santiago, Plaza Nueva, the San Anton’s church and the ancient ruins on which it is based, or the bustling market Ribera; hosting as a whole more than 500 years of history and the urban vitality that seems not to pass the time.

Designed by the American architect Frank O. Gehry, the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao is situated on a plot of 32,500 m2 which is located at the estuary of the Nervión, 16m below the level of Bilbao and is crossed by the colossal La Salve Bridge, one of the main entrances to the city.
Overall, Gehry design creates a unique structure, dramatic and highly visible, getting a sculptural presence as a backdrop to the environment in the city.
