Bilbao will have a gastronomic fan zone in Abandoibarra between June 14 and 17 for the celebration of the culinary event The World's 50 Best Restaurants, the so-called 'Oscars of gastronomy', to be held at the Euskalduna Palace on June 19 . The area of activities, where tastings, workshops, activities for children and live cooking demonstrations will be offered, will combine "pedagogy" and "enjoyment", according to the director of Foreign Promotion and Tourism of the Diputación de Bizkaia, Asier Alea.
On Thursday 14 and Friday 15 in the afternoon, and throughout the day on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17, those who come to Abandoibarra can discover recipes such as an egg flower with corn, crispy cheese and bizkaina air, know the secrets of Bizkaia txakoli, Euskal Sagardoa or Rioja Alavesa wine when participating in tastings with experts or enjoying a cocktail show while a DJ entertains the evening next to Nervion river and Guggenheim Museum .
